CategoriesMedical Fiction Contemporary RomanceMiniseriesA Summer in S o Paulo Book 1 256 This was a very hard book to get through 256 The playboy surgeon and the shy workaholic Dr Krysta Simpson feels a connection with brooding Francisco Carvalho immediately The ex model turned surgeon is nothing like the cruel rumors would have her believe And if she s determined to use this temporary placement in stunning S o Paulo to reset her priorities she s running out of time leaving one important Will Francisco show her the pleasure she s never experienced Awakened by Her Brooding Brazilian A Summer in S o Paulo 1 Author Ann McIntosh was born in the tropics lived in the frozen North for a number of years and now resides in sunny central Florida with her husband She s a proud Mama to three grown children loves tea crafting animals except reptiles bacon and the ocean She believes in the power of diverse romances to heal but that might have been on purpose considering Krysta 256 Fantastic read definitely loved this book and recommend for all who know love is the best medicine 256 The author has created interesting complex characters thrown together for a temporary assignment that turns into much The heroine is a brilliant doctor but naive in many ways but blossoms with her interaction with Francisco I loved the detailed medical terms and procedures interspersed throughout the book making the reader feel like they are part of the medical team Ms McIntosh carries the reader on a vivid tour of Brazil bringing the countryside to life 256 Awakened by her brooding Brazilian Ann McIntosh published 30 April I received an ARC from Netgalley in return for this review I enjoyed this story very different from so many of the usual Mills and Boon s books in that the story simply followed a growing mutual attraction between Francisco and Krysta There were few false obstacles towards true love and everything worked out rather well However the denouement happened far too fast and the book would have benefitted from an epilogue I enjoyed the adult logical behaviour from both of them and was happy when they found their happy ever after A few secondary characters appeared in the story making me think they would have their own books I d be keen to find out what happens next for them I must say though that trailing an interesting story and abandoning it halfway through the book is really frustrating Amy and Roque and Jake Porter and his nephew My first book by this author and I reallynjoyed it 4 stars 256
