Second chance romance on a movie set Can the sequel possibly live up to the original Jenna Hubbard has been working as a glorified coffee fetcher in Hollywood for longer than a 30 year old woman would care to admit When she s up for a promotion to first assistant director Jenna sees the chance to prove herself and finally move up that ladder But there s one problem Her high school sweetheart Weston Worth has been cast as the male lead in their film about music legend Lonnie Byers Jenna needs to keep her cool to get everyone through this filming without too many bumps and bruises emotionally or otherwise Just when Weston seems to be warming up to the idea of Jenna in his life again Jenna is offered an opportunity she s not sure she can pass up Jenna must decide where she really wants her career path to lead and whether Weston is even part of the picture at all Maybe her friend was right to persuade her to leave him all those years ago Jenna with the Red Pen is a second chance love story and modern retelling of Jane Austen s Persuasion written by two time award winning author Rebekah N Bryan Jenna with the Red PenRebekah lives in Wisconsin with her husband two daughters and a dog She enjoys going to concerts even though shes only getting older and tired wandering around shopping malls with latte in hand and indulging in junk food and wine Shes a city girl at heart but also finds joy in remote waterfalls and bridges Rebekah lives in Wisconsin with her husband two daughters and a dog She enjoys going to concerts even though she s only getting older and tired wandering around shopping malls with latte in hand modern telling of Jane Austen s Persuasion There were a few typing mistakes that should be fixed along with a few repeated words or phrase that need deleting so that the flow of the story is uninterrupted There was a whole ensemble cast involved in the telling of this tale and all the characters were clearly defined and unique The story itself is not too bad but it is the relationship between the main male and female characters or should I clarify this to state non relationship It is clear there is a disconnect between the two but for me there was still something lacking As well two other characters had some sort of history and appeared to have reconciled with each other by the end of the story but it was never clear to me exactly what had happened previously and how the one fellow came about changing his mind so drastically after being so vehemently opposed to the mere mention of the other fellow s name Overall I just felt that this story needs some cleaning up and then it will be a better read.
