This review is written partly as a counterbalance to some of the negative comments here Its well produced book with a lovely cover although the feel of it a kind of hard velvet is unusual in my experience The book is also well printed except for what looked like small ink blots on a couple of pages and very well bound The bookmark ribbon is a nice touch and very useful The book is a handy size for reading The are no glue spots on it anywhere and no ink came offt either from the cover or the pages It seems durable enough I would have liked to know about the translator s experience of translating Verne I would have liked endnotes especially about the marine life described and the places mentioned e.
